Job Description
The Receptionist will be the first face seen as visitors arrive at the office so a cheerful attitude is a must! Responsibilities include overseeing a multi-line phone system, transferring calls, greeting visitors, signing for deliveries, and performing other light clerical duties. In addition, the receptionist would assist in coordinating luncheons, special meetings and/or projects for the attorneys and management.
Where You’ll WorkThe Receptionist is an hourly non-exempt position and will work full-time from our Charleston, South Carolina office.
What You’ll Do
- Answer and transfer internal and external calls using a multi-line phone system
- Provide callers with directions to the firm
- Greet visitors and direct them to the proper location
- Maintain conference room scheduling
- Coordinate luncheons and special meetings
- Accept and sign for deliveries
- Other light clerical duties as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Prior receptionist or administrative experience is desired, but not required
- High School Diploma required
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to manage multiple projects or tasks in a demanding environment
- Excellent “people” skills and ability to identify solutions when faced with a problem
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure and exemplify a high level of patience

Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit frequently (up to 6 hours per day)
- Static sitting position for up to 1 hour at a time
- Occasionally lift and carry up to 20 pounds (about 30 minutes per day)
- Bends and stoop occasionally, up to one-half hour per day
