Great patient experiences start at reception.

We’re looking for a Casual Receptionist to join the team at 1300SMILES Gladstone.

You’ll be at the centre of the practice, welcoming patients, managing appointments, answering enquiries and helping the team stay organised throughout the day. With a broad range of dental services, you’ll have plenty of variety and the opportunity to build your knowledge in a busy healthcare environment.

If you’re naturally friendly, organised and enjoy working with people, you’ll fit right in.

This is a casual opportunity with availability Monday to Saturday, with typical shifts between 7:45am and 5:15pm.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Welcoming patients and creating a warm first impression
• Managing appointment bookings and keeping the diary organised
• Answering calls and helping patients with enquiries
• Processing payments, health fund claims and general reception administration
• Keeping patient information accurate and up to date
• Supporting the dental team with day-to-day administrative tasks
• Helping the reception area stay organised and welcoming
• Working with the wider team to keep the day running smoothly

Qualifications

What you’ll bring:

• Previous reception, customer service or administration experience
• A friendly and confident communication style
• Strong organisation and attention to detail
• The ability to multitask and stay calm when the reception gets busy
• Confidence speaking with a wide range of patients
• A professional and approachable manner
• A genuine interest in helping people
• Dental or medical reception experience is highly regarded, but not essential
