VCA Canada Northdale Animal Hospital is currently welcoming a part-time dependable and caring Reception, Veterinary Assistant to join our team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an organized, motivated, and empathetic individual to join us in a very important support role for the entire hospital.

Key Responsibilities

• Excellent customer service skills; a real aptitude for putting pets and pet parents at ease and creating a welcoming environment 

• Ability to answer a multiline phone system and track and book appointments effectively 

• Scheduling appointments; Admitting and discharging pet patients

• Invoicing/billing; creating estimates and processing payments

• Assist veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments

• Create a warm and welcoming environment for our pet parents and patients

• Create a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our patients

• General housekeeping duties; cleanliness of reception area, pet holding areas, and common areas

• Willingness to learn more regarding; veterinary services, updated medical office procedures and assisting veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments

• Compassionate and nurturing attitude

• Veterinary Assistant (VA) or Veterinary Office Assistant (VOA) program certificate considered an asset
