We are seeking a highly organised, proactive and detail-oriented Reception and Stock Officer to join our team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced IT environment and enjoys taking ownership of procurement, warehousing, supplier management and operational support.

About the Role

The Reception and Stock Officerplays a critical role in ensuring efficient purchasing, stock management, supplier coordination and internal operational support across the business. You will work closely with Sales, Presales, Engineering and Accounts to ensure seamless delivery of hardware and services to our customers. This is a diverse position combining procurement, warehousing, administration and accounts support.

This is a full-time position for an initial 12-month contract, with the potential to transition into a permanent role.

Key Responsibilities

1. Reception & Office Support

• Act as the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and phone enquiries
• Manage incoming calls, emails, and general enquiries
• Greet and assist visitors in a professional and friendly manner
• Maintain a tidy and organised reception and office environment
• Provide general administrative support to the team

2. Stock & Warehouse Coordination

• Receive, label, and organise incoming stock
• Maintain a clean and well-organised storeroom
• Conduct regular stocktakes and ensure accurate stock records
• Track internal hardware and equipment
• Prepare and allocate stock for jobs and engineers
• Assist with customer-specific stock requirements

3. Orders & Systems Support

• Assist with processing purchase and sales orders in ConnectWise
• Update stock levels and job statuses in systems
• Track hardware for jobs and projects
• Set up basic customer records where required

4. Logistics & Shipping

• Arrange freight and courier bookings (e.g. StarTrack, AceIt)
• Coordinate deliveries and collections
• Follow up on missing or delayed shipments

5. Basic Procurement Support

• Assist with sourcing products and obtaining supplier quotes
• Liaise with suppliers regarding orders and deliveries
• Support the team with general purchasing tasks

6. Accounts Support (Ad Hoc)

• Assist with entering supplier invoices
• Support invoicing for customers when required
• Help with general accounts administration tasks

About You

• Highly organised with strong attention to detail

• Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Proactive and solution-focused

• Comfortable working cross-functionally with Sales, Engineering and Accounts

• Professional in communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders

Experience within IT, telecommunications or a Managed Services environment will be highly regarded.
