Real people recruitment is working with a well-established 4-star hotel located in North Dublin is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Reception Manager to lead its Front Office team. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised hospitality professional with a genuine passion for guest service and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Reception/Front Office department
  • Supervise and coordinate reception shifts to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Maintain and continuously improve service standards through coaching, training, and performance monitoring
  • Lead by example with a hands-on approach, motivating the team to deliver a professional and welcoming guest experience
  • Work closely with the HR department to support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training within Reception
  • Ensure all administrative tasks are completed accurately and within required timeframes
  • Manage communication and collaboration with Reservations, Sales, and other key departments
  • Handle guest enquiries and requests in person and by phone with professionalism and warmth
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels during peak check-in and check-out periods
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on the property management system (PMS)
  • Communicate daily operational updates to the Reception team and relevant departments
  • Record, investigate, and follow up on incidents or issues arising during shifts
  • Ensure Front Desk operations consistently meet high standards of hospitality and efficiency

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within hotel reception or front office
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and hotel PMS systems such as Mews, Hotsoft, Opera, or similar
  • Confident, friendly, and approachable manner
  • Strong leadership and team collaboration skills
  • Excellent communication and telephone etiquette
  • A background in sales or upselling would be an advantage
  • Flexible, reliable, and committed to delivering high standards consistently
