Role Purpose:

Our Brisbane Office is looking for a reliable receptionist to become an integral part of our vibrant team due to an internal promotion. This is an exciting opportunity to advance your career while serving the community.

About You:

  • You bring at least two years of experience in a professional, legal, justice, or community services environment, complemented by a Certificate III or higher in Business Administration or an equivalent qualification.
  • Your minimum typing speed is 35 words per minute.
  • Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients is highly valued.
  • You demonstrate resilience, organisation, and energy in your work.
  • Additionally, you are prepared to provide at least two professional references.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for managing our switchboard and reception area, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for clients and visitors. Your duties will include lodging Legal Aid applications online, completing legal correspondence, and overseeing filing and mail management. You will also engage in frequent liaison with teams across Queensland to facilitate effective communication and collaboration. This position offers exciting opportunities for career progression in Administration or Court Support, as well as the chance to pursue further studies relevant to Administration, Finance, or Law.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.
