As the Reception & Administration Officer, you will be part of a welcoming, professional and supportive care experience for the residents of St Vincent’s Care Services Auburn.

St Vincent’s Care Services Auburn offers residents a supportive and welcoming environment, with Residential Living aged care, Independent Living and Community Living services all available at the same location.

We are seeking people who are passionate about providing care that is sensitive to resident’s individualised needs, preferences and choices and are committed to building strong, meaningful connections with residents.

This is a Permanent full-time opportunity.

Key Responsibilities of the Role

  • General reception duties including ad hoc and project-based administration.

  • Answering telephones in a polite and timely manner and assist with general enquiries.

  • Assisting with the payroll and roster management when required.

  • Efficiently managing the staff telephone directory.

  • Meet and greet clients in a friendly and helpful manner

  • Assist with meeting room bookings including room set up, cleaning and catering.

  • Manage all incoming and outgoing mail

  • Manage daily courier services

  • Successfully complete administrative tasks such as filing, ordering stationery and ordering equipment supplies.

  • Co-ordinate issuing staff ID access cards

  • Maintain the security access register

  • Attend and actively participate in training as required.

  • Other administrative duties as required

  • Learn and grow within a workplace that aligns with our mission and values

Things that work for us:

  • Ability to work on a permanent full-time basis.

  • High level of customer service skills

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills

  • Experience and knowledge of UKG Kronos and FMR (Facilities Master Roster) highly regarded.

  • Experience working in aged care desirable

  • Experience working in a previous administration &/or reception role desirable

  • Ability to follow directives as per care plan

  • Understanding of Aged Care and resident rights and responsibilities

  • Nationally coordinated criminal history check (valid within 6 months)

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check will be a requirement of this role.

About The Royal Children's Hospital

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.

When it comes to training and research we partner with the very best. Our campus partners, the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute (MCRI) and The University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics, along with the RCH Foundation, are on site with the hospital in Parkville. In 2016–17, more than 85,654 children attended our Emergency Department, 322,291 specialist clinic appointments were held which was almost 70,000 more than the previous year, more than 17,000 surgeries were performed and more than 48,552 children were admitted to our wards.
