The Receiving/Stocking associate is responsible for unloading merchandise from trucks, receiving inventory and stocking the shelves inside the store. You will be responsible for keeping store shelves stocked, neat, and presentable and assisting customers in finding products as needed. The Receiving/Stocking associate will work with the purchasing manager to learn inventory software, assist in monitoring inventory, and assist in building displays and larger products.

Responsibilities:

  • Help unload and load trucks in a safe manner
  • Receive and sort merchandise
  • Operate a forklift or pallet jack safely and efficiently (we provide training)
  • Separate special orders from delivery and process according to store policy
  • Help maintain organization in the backroom and warehouse
  • Ensure all inbound merchandise is checked in per store procedures
  • Learn inventory software
  • Help to build displays and assemble larger products (wheelbarrows, carts, etc.)
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service
  • Always have a customer-first mentality

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and future random screenings.
  • Excellent communication skills, high attention to detail, and ability to multitask
  • Ability to stand for an extended period of time
  • Able to walk, reach, climb ladders, and bend to perform job duties
  • Initiative to work with little supervision.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently
  • Basic computer skills including typing and data entry. Willing to learn new software.
  • High level of social maturity including respect, integrity, and honesty


Work hours: Typical weekly 40-hour shifts may include: Weekday hours between 7:00am -- 4:00pm or 8:00 – 5:00pm and sometimes Saturday 8:00-4:00 pm
PAY AND BENEFITS:
Starting hourly pay range is $18 - $21 DOE
Employees are eligible for the following benefits following a 90-day orientation period:
  • Medical Insurance with HSA contributions. Employer pays 75% of employee premium.
  • Paid Holidays (6 paid holidays per year)
  • Sick pay and Paid Vacation. Begins accruing after 90 days.
  • Family Medical Leave – Employer pays 100% of employee deductions.

Compensation: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
