Compensation

The base hourly rate for this position is $32.03.

This position is responsible for communicating and supporting JM core values and delivering the JM experience.

Supporting the Management Team with the day-to-day operation of the warehouse and ensuring the warehouse operation in achieving business targets. Provide line management to the team, coordinating their workloads, providing support to ensure that the team delivers, monitoring any issues, and ensuring production targets, KPIs, and quality standards are met to meet the requirements of the customer daily load counter. Develop the team by focusing on individual performance and support requirements to achieve high standards, while fostering a culture of working safely.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in running an efficient warehouse operation which can fulfill operational and customer demand and meet set targets
  • Train new Warehouse operatives
  • Ensure inventories are accurate
  • Ensure stock movements are recorded accurately
  • Identify any system improvements and make recommendations for change
  • Review ways to reduce waste or damage
  • Assist in planning future capacity requirements
  • Communicate with staff on a regular basis to make them aware of priorities, targets and operational requirements
  • Report progress updates, key achievements and any concerns to the Warehouse Supervisor and/or Manager
  • Supervisory and Team Leader skills with the ability to motivate, develop and supervise others
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • There are no supervisory responsibilities for direct reports for this position, but this person must have the skills to interact as a leader with all plant department employees.

Requirements: (education, skills, and abilities)

  • High School diploma or GED (required).
  • Experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Experience with (SAP) Warehouse Management System (required). 1-3 years
  • Computer applications using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel PowerPoint) (required).
  • Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations.
  • Ability to input data on computer to create daily reports.
  • Accuracy in recordkeeping and in sorting, checking, counting, and verifying loads.
  • Strong time management, organizational, planning, and self-motivation skills.

Physical Requirements:

The physical requirements of this position are: (these requirements are typical for most of our manufacturing roles)

  • The ability to stand for extended periods
  • The ability to manually lift, push or pull at least 50 pounds safely and with proper body mechanics, sometimes while in awkward positions.
  • Use of hands (repetitive motion, grabbing, feeling, sensing, pulling)
  • The ability to work safely in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful work environment
  • The ability to safely and effectively work in an often-dusty work environment that experiences a broad range of temperatures (very hot to very cold).
  • The ability to withstand the rigors of working a 12(or 8)-hour rotating shift schedule.
  • The ability to bend, stoop or kneel repetitively.
  • The ability to reach or work above the shoulder
