The role of this first shift, hourly paid position is to execute daily activities intended to meet departmental goals in order-fulfillment, inventory control, quality, and receiving for our Distribution Center/Warehouse operation. The position requires direct involvement with daily operations as well as participation in special projects in support of company growth objectives.

FLSA Hourly/Salary: Starting Hourly Pay $17

Essential Functions

  •          Commit to FIELD’s Mission Statement, Core Values, and Fieldamentals.
  •          Responsible for daily receivables of UPS, FedEx, DHL, LTL, and containers.
  •          Participate in the continual development and improvement of warehouse standard operating procedures for the facility
  •          General duties involving physical handling of product, materials, and supplies.
  •          Operate warehouse equipment.
  •          Troubleshoot receiving and/or technical issues.
  •          Verify correct material with use of a caliper or other devices.
  •          Inspect material to verify conformance with supplier and customer specifications.
  •          Ensure work areas are clean and organized.
  •          Fill in for other positions as needed.
  •          Repetitive bending, kneeling, twisting, lifting up to 50 pounds.
  •          Follow all safety guidelines and procedures.
  •          Embrace and promote Field’s Mission Statement, Core Values, and Fieldamentals.

Education, Skills and Experience

  •          High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  •          Polite and professional manner.
  •          Minimum of two years work experience, preferably in a warehouse environment.
  •          Proven track record of results.
  •          Ability to work in fast-paced, team-based environment.
  •          Strong Microsoft Word, Outlook knowledge and mathematical aptitude.
  •          Excel experience that includes working with spreadsheets and graphs is beneficial.
  •          Effective verbal and written/communication skills to interact with internal and external customers and suppliers.
  •          Polite and professional manner.
  •          Strong time management skills and attention to details.
  •          Highly motivated, well organized.
  •          Ability to drive results without a great deal of direct supervision.
  •          Ability to work overtime as necessary.
  •  

Additional Skills Preferred

  •       Prior leadership or project management skills.
  •         Experience in blueprint reading.
  •         Previous Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) experience.
  •         Previous fastener knowledge.
