In the role of Operations Supervisor, we need a creative and dynamic problem solver who sees an issue and immediately finds and implements a successful plan of action. You will also continue to use your valuable experience leading teams that rally behind you to direct daily operations, plan, run the warehouse, manage distribution, work with our customers and be hands on alongside our great team of employees. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be the leader! Lead alongside your employees and by setting an example.
- Be the motivator! Motivate and incentivize your team to earn respect and trust!
- People: not only will you lead and teach them, but you will supervise and support them directly on a daily basis to build a culture of success and teamwork.
- Ensure all warehouse personnel comply with standard operating procedures, personnel policies and workload demands.
- Manage and coordinate warehouse operations to ensure established procedures are being met.
- Oversee the picking, packing, kitting, and shipping of orders from our facility.
- Drive KPIs, including 99.7% on time shipping, 99.9% order accuracy, 99.7% on time receiving, among others.
- Utilize strong and sound communication skills while celebrating, coaching, or counseling Symbia employees.
- Maintain records and reports on your shift and make sure they are completed in a timely manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

QualificationsEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Personality: a dynamic leader who is most comfortable being themselves!
- Leadership: experience and passion are a must for successful leaders; at least one to two years of leadership experience and three years in warehousing, distribution, or a related field.
- Education: You don’t need a PhD for this role, but our preference would be an Associate’s degree or higher in a related field or an equivalent combination of training and responsible leadership experience.
- EDI experience is necessary. Retail compliance is a large portion of this role. SPS Commerce is greatly preferred.
- Software: Can you build a computer and design an entire software system? If so, great. However, what we really need someone is skilled in all MS Office products.
- Get on the floor: When we say this, we do not mean you need awesome dance moves, but it is great if you do. What we mean is we need a supervisor who does not mind getting their hands dirty with their employees, and knows how to operate equipment like forklifts, cherry pickers and reach trucks.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 50lbs.
- Specific vision abilities may be required for this role. These abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, as well as good depth perception.
- Must have the ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Expectation is at least two hours straight, four times in an eight-hour day.
- You will need to be able to twist, bend, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch on a frequent basis.
- Repetitive movements are a big part of our environment, so you will need to be able to use your hands and feet simultaneously.
- This is a warehouse environment, so it consists of occasional extreme temperature shifts ranging from very cold to very hot.
- If you are operating Industrial Lift Equipment, you will need to be able to get on and off the equipment on a regular basis. Certain equipment may expose you to heights as well.
- There can be exposure to loud noises and dust.
- You will have regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and moving equipment.
