The Receiving Stall Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the cleaning and organization of the Receiving Barn along with light maintenance [making minor repairs]; ensuring the horses are put away as per the approved paperwork each day of training and/or racing.

The Receiving Stall Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the cleaning and organization of the Receiving Barn along with light maintenance [making minor repairs]; keeping the Receiving Barn Laborers aware of any changes in scheduling or procedures.
Qualifications
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Must be able to obtain an Indiana Horse Racing Commission license.
Must possess strong communication skills, be flexible and detail oriented.
Ability to read and write; basic computer knowledge; active listening skills; ability to meet goals and deadlines; and knowledge of Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse racing terms.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job at a Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse racing facility. Frequent standing, walking, stooping, bending, reaching, climbing, and sitting are required. May be required to lift approximately fifty [50] pounds.
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a team member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job at a Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse racing facility (e.g.: unruly horses, emergencies, wind, sleet, snow, rain, sun, high and/or cold temperatures, dust, debris, animals/birds, insects, etc.).
Horseshoe Indianapolis does not allow any smoking, vaping or e-cigarettes in any areas of the Receiving Barn (including the restrooms); Security must be informed of anyone who is smoking or vaping in the Receiving Barn areas for the safety of all horsemen, team members, and equine participants.
Must be able to work in a highly populated, fast-paced, and noisy environment.
