The Role

Work Model: Onsite – Warehouse/Production Environment

Work Schedule: Approximately 40 hours per week; overtime required as scheduled

Base Pay Range: $17.00 – $17.50 per hour

Reports to: Manager, Wagner Street Operations

Summary / Primary Role

The Receiving Specialist II is responsible for receiving, verifying, documenting, and maintaining accurate records of incoming shipments. This role compares incoming materials against manifests, invoices, and orders, enters receiving information into customer and internal systems, prepares shipping and receiving documentation, and identifies and documents damaged or discrepant products.

What You'll Do

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Receiving Specialist II to support accurate and efficient warehouse receiving operations while maintaining high standards for documentation, safety, and inventory control.

  • Receiving & Inspection
  • Receive incoming materials and verify shipment contents against manifests, invoices, orders, and other records.
  • Inspect products for damage or issues and photograph damaged materials when necessary.
  • Assist the Receiving Specialist I with receiving products during periods of increased workload.
  • Support other areas of the department as needed.
  • Documentation & Data Entry
  • Enter received materials into customer systems such as SAP or WhiBoard.
  • Receive materials into the P21 system and maintain accurate shipment records.
  • Prepare work orders, bills of lading, shipping orders, and other documents used to route materials.
  • Record shipment information such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, and discrepancies for reporting and recordkeeping.
  • Labeling & Warehouse Operations
  • Print and apply labels or relabel products when applicable.
  • Assist with organizing and routing received materials.
  • Use barcode scanners and warehouse technology to accurately process incoming shipments.
  • Follow established warehouse procedures and safety requirements.
  • Safety & Team Support
  • Maintain a safe and organized warehouse/production environment.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and other departments.
  • Support departmental operations and perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • No related work experience required.
  • Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) knowledge preferred.
  • Food Safety and Defense / HACCP knowledge preferred.
  • Knowledge and ability to work with barcode scanners preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, professional, and accountable.
  • Comfortable working in a warehouse/production environment.

Base Pay Range: $17.00 – $17.50 per hour

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This position operates in a warehouse/production environment with exposure to airborne particles such as dust, shavings, odors, and fumes, along with temperature and noise fluctuations and varying vibration levels.

The role routinely uses barcode readers, scanning devices, computers, label-making software, and supply chain software. Employees must be able to frequently grasp, pick, and pinch and may operate equipment such as pallet jacks. The position requires the ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds, as well as occasionally sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, crouch, bend, and perform other physical activities required in the warehouse environment.
