Job Description

The Boring Company was founded to solve the problem of soul-destroying traffic by creating an underground network of tunnels. Today, we are creating the technology to increase tunneling speed and decrease costs by a factor of 10 or more with the ultimate goal of making Hyperloop adoption viable and enabling rapid transit across densely populated regions.

The Boring Company is seeking a Receiving Specialist to support warehouse and operations teams by managing incoming materials, verifying shipments, and ensuring inventory is accurately received, documented, and stored. • Accurately document receipts, discrepancies, damages, and shortages in inventory or ERP systems.
  • Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, production, and logistics teams to resolve shipment issues quickly.
  • Label, organize, and move received materials to proper storage or staging areas.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient receiving area while following company safety procedures.
  • Assist with cycle counts, inventory audits, and general warehouse support as needed.

Qualifications
  • 1+ year of receiving, warehouse, inventory, logistics, or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other warehouse or material-handling equipment preferred.
  • Ability to read purchase orders, packing slips, part numbers, and basic inventory documentation.
  • Comfortable using computers, scanners, and inventory management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Culture
We're a team of dedicated, smart, and scrappy people. Our employees are passionate about our mission and determined to innovate at every opportunity.

About The Boring Company

To solve the problem of soul-destroying traffic, roads must go 3D, which means either flying cars or tunnels. Unlike flying cars, tunnels are weatherproof, out of sight and won't fall on your head. A large network of tunnels many levels deep would fix congestion in any city, no matter how large it grew (just keep adding levels). The key to making this work is increasing tunneling speed and dropping costs by a factor of 10 or more – this is the goal of The Boring Company. Fast to dig, low cost tunnels would also make Hyperloop adoption viable and enable rapid transit across densely populated regions, enabling travel from New York to Washington DC in less than 30 minutes.
