Pay: $22.85
Must have 6 months documented forklift experience, can be a combination of employers as long as experience is at least months
This position is for Forklift Operator PR03 in the Danville, VA facility. The Team Member willbe responsible for ensuring all materials are transported and/or unloadedin a timely manner whilemaintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
Operates in a safe manner, and in accordanceto all company policies and procedures.
Usesa handheld computer to pick and scan product.
Communicates effectively with other TM's andassists in coordinating toaccomplish all assigned tasks.
Operates powered pallet jack, forklift and/or reach truck.Inspectsdaily,chargesbatteries,maintains battery water level, andchangesbatteries as necessary.
Delivers raw materials, packaging, and pallets to theappropriate production areas.
Moves inventory in an organized manner to store in a subzero freezer, cooler, anda drygoods area.
Moves finished goods and work-in-progress from production lines to the shipping area.
Unloadstrucks.
Covers andstretch-wrapspallets.
Ensures assigned production lines are continuously supplied with clean raw materials and packaging.
Recordsmovementtransactions in the SAP system.
Ensuresall raw materials and finished goods are labeled correctly.
Maintain an organized and clean work environment according to 5S principles, GMP's, and USDA regulations.
Reports any damages, discrepancies, unsafe behaviors, and risks to Lead.
Requirements:
3-month work history with the same employer
3-month powered industrial truck experience listed on the application preferred
Must be able to lifta 50 pounds and push/pull 100 lb.
Must be able to stand forlong periods
Must wear steel/composite toe boots that conform to site requirements.
Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime and weekends.
Must be able to work in a cold environment ( -10 degrees below zero to 40 degrees F).
Must be willing toaccomplish other duties as assigned.
