The Receiver's role is to assist and support the Receiving Department -- by the safe, timely, and accurate receipt of produce and miscellaneous items ordered and placed in specified areas of the warehouse. Following proper procedures for receiving all products entering the facility and confirming product quality. Maintaining cleanliness of the receiving area including the loading dock, trash areas, and other areas of the warehouse.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Move freight, stock, or other materials from trailers into staging lanes.
  • Break down multi-SKU pallets into single SKU pallets.
  • Use an RF gun to scan all barcodes pertaining to the client being received.
  • Ensure the integrity of the product for put away and ensure that no products are damaged.
  • Place shipments in the designated cooler or warehouse locations.
  • Follow all work and food safety policies and procedures.
  • Check the quality and quantity of incoming products.
  • Receive incoming shipments.
  • Print out shipping labels for incoming pallets.
  • Notify the QC manager of any quality or quantity issues related to the shipments.
  • Ability to operate the electric pallet jack.
  • Ability to meet/exceed productivity standards.
  • Perform any additional tasks as directed by management personnel.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • One + years' experience a plus.
  • Electric pallet jack experience.
  • RF scanner gun experience.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred.

  • The work environment is that typical of a distribution center.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and use the hands to handle objects, tools, or controls.
  • Lifting, pushing, pulling, and/or carrying up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to squat, bend, stoop, push, pull, kneel, and reach.
  • Must be flexible with work schedule that supports a 24-hour production facility.
  • Successful performance requires vision abilities that include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • The noise level ranges from quiet to loud.
  • Exposure to extreme temperature changes, moisture, noise, odors, and moving equipment.
