Waldorf Astoria London - Admiralty Arch is seeking a Receiving Clerkto join the pre-opening team for this highly anticipated new luxury hotel opening later this year.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced luxury hotelier to join the founding team and help shape the guest experience at this landmark hotel.

Located at the end of The Mall opposite Buckingham Palace, Waldorf Astoria London – Admiralty Arch will feature 100 elegant rooms and suites and 17,500 sqft of private residences. The hotel will open with two signature restaurants - Coreus by Clare Smyth and Café Boulud by Daniel Boulud - bringing together two of the world’s most celebrated Michelin-starred chefs. Guests will also enjoy a world-class spa, state-of-the-art fitness facilities, and a collection of grand event spaces, including a ballroom for up to 320 guests.

We are looking for hospitality professionals who are passionate about delivering an exceptional fives star guest experience, consistently upholding the worldclass service standards recognised by Forbes.

Here's what you'll do during a typical day :

As a Receiving Clerk, you will manage the seamless flow of goods and deliveries into and out of the hotel, ensuring all items are accurately received, recorded, stored, and distributed in accordance with company purchasing, procurement, and quality standards.

In this role, you will exercise meticulous control over all incoming deliveries, maintaining accurate inventory records while ensuring goods are stored and issued correctly. Responsibilities are performed to the highest standards of ultra‑luxury hotel operations and include:

  • Receiving and strictly controlling all incoming goods, verifying volume, quantity, and condition
  • Accurately entering all internal goods movements into the inventory management system on a daily basis
  • Conducting monthly stock inventories in collaboration with the Controlling department
  • Performing thorough checks on all items entering the hotel to confirm compliance with quality and quantity standards
  • Raising and issuing discrepancy reports and complaints immediately when required
  • Ensuring all received items are promptly delivered to their designated departments
  • Coordinating the orderly receipt, transfer, and return of event materials via the loading ramp
  • Independently managing loan items and empty returns from the warehouse
  • Maintaining exceptional standards of organisation, tidiness, and cleanliness within all areas of responsibility

What are we looking for?

A Receiving Clerk serving Hilton’s luxury brands works diligently behind the scenes to support guest satisfaction while collaborating closely with internal teams. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following behaviours, skills, and values:

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • Previous experience in a receiving role with stock control responsibilities
  • Previous experience within a luxury service environment
  • A relevant academic qualification in Accounting or a related business discipline
