Job Description

The Receiving Clerk plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials into the facility. This position is responsible for unloading incoming shipments, verifying accuracy of materials received, maintaining organized inventory, and supporting production by ensuring all materials are available when needed. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, safety‑focused, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, damage, and compliance with purchase orders.
  • Unload trucks and containers using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material‑handling equipment.
  • Verify documentation, including packing slips, bills of lading, and purchase orders.
  • Record and enter received materials into the inventory management system.
  • Label, sort, and store materials in designated warehouse bin locations.
  • Communicate discrepancies or damaged goods to Purchasing Director
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized receiving area in accordance with facility safety standards.
  • Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits as needed.
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure timely delivery of materials to the manufacturing floor.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Must be able to work in a humid, cold, wet or slippery surface at varied heights in and around moving equipment and parts with the use of personal protective equipment (P.P.E)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in receiving, warehouse operations, or manufacturing preferred.
  • Ability to operate forklifts or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Basic computer skills; experience with inventory software is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

America's Heartland Packing is set to open its doors in early 2025. The 775,000 sq. ft. greenfield project will include a harvest floor, carcass chillers, fabrication area, rendering, further processing area, storage coolers, freezers, and loading docks.
