Pay Rate: $24 per hour

Herschend is seeking an accomplished and motivated Receiving & Accounting Clerk to work along the team and support operations for our newest hospitality venture, Dolly Parton’s SongTeller Hotel, located in the heart of Downtown Nashville. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable coordinating with vendors, hotel departments, and tenant businesses.

Summary of Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Receiving (Primary Function)

• Receive, inspect, and log all deliveries for the hotel and its tenants
• Schedule and coordinate delivery windows with vendors and internal departments to avoid conflicts and delays
• Instruct vendors on delivery procedures, drop-off locations, and property protocols
• Follow through on all deliveries to confirm completion, accuracy, and condition of goods received
• Verify received items against purchase orders and packing slips; flag and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain organized records of all deliveries, including logs, signatures, and supporting documentation
• Coordinate with department heads and tenants to ensure timely distribution of received goods
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area
• Support a positive team environment by cooperating and communicating effectively with vendors, guests, and fellow employees.
• Maintain professional appearance, good personal hygiene, and dependable attendance.
• Demonstrate the company’s Lead with Love culture by being patient, respectful, honest, and supportive of fellow team members.
• Remain flexible to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours during inventory periods as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

Accounting (Secondary Function)

• Review vendor invoices for accuracy against purchase orders and receiving records
• Process invoices through Accounts Payable
• Identify and resolve invoice discrepancies with vendors and internal stakeholders
• Assist Accounting staff with data entry, filing, and other administrative support as needed
• Support month-end processes related to receiving and accounts payable documentation

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• This position requires a minimum of one-year experience as receiving clerk or similar position.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Business, Accounting, or related field preferred
• Prior experience in receiving, warehouse/logistics, or accounting support preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) required
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with vendors, staff, and tenants
• Ability to multitask and manage competing delivery schedules
• Basic understanding of invoicing and purchase order processes
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the property for extended periods
• Comfortable working in a loading dock/receiving environment
