Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Receiver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, and recording shipments of raw materials and products. This role is crucial in ensuring that all incoming goods meet quality standards and are accurately documented in our inventory system.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Receive and unload incoming shipments of raw materials and products. Verify the quantity and quality of items received against purchase orders and packing lists.
  • Inspect incoming goods for damage, defects, or discrepancies. Report any issues to the appropriate personnel and coordinate returns or exchanges as necessary.
  • Accurately document all received items in the inventory management system. Maintain up-to-date records of all incoming shipments and related paperwork.
  • Organize and store received items in designated storage areas. Ensure that the warehouse is clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
  • Work closely with the purchasing, production, and inventory teams to ensure timely and accurate receipt of goods. Communicate any issues or delays in receiving shipments.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures related to receiving and inventory management. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and inspection.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel, Word).
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical stamina to lift and move heavy items and stand for extended periods.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional coursework or certification in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a warehousing or distribution center role, preferably in a receiving position.

Working Conditions:

  • This position may require physical activities such as lifting, moving materials by hand or using basic materials handling equipment.
  • This role may involve working in cold-term environments.
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
