Rebuild Technician (06)

Sandvik Mining and Construction DRC is a Sales Unit based in Lubumbashi within Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions, a Business Area and a leading supplier of equipment, tools, services, and support for the mining industry. We also provide solutions and expertise across a wide range of applications, including rock drilling, rock cutting, loading and hauling, tunnelling, and quarrying.

Your mission

Maintenance and Repair

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities on mining equipment and components.

  • Assist in inspection, troubleshooting, and repair activities in accordance with manufacturer specifications.

  • Use appropriate tools, equipment, and procedures to complete assigned tasks.

  • Carry out assembly and disassembly of components in line with technical requirements.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Accurately complete work orders, maintenance reports, and technical documentation.

  • Maintain records of completed work and support maintenance tracking activities.

Operational Support

  • Collaborate with senior technicians and support teams to ensure efficient execution of maintenance activities.

  • Participate in technical training and continuous skills development.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop.

Health, Safety, and Environment

  • Comply with all company Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.

  • Identify and report unsafe conditions, hazards, and incidents immediately.

  • Promote and maintain a strong “Zero Harm” safety culture.

Your profile

You are Congolese citizen with a minimum of a Technical High School Diploma or an equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanics, Industrial Maintenance, or a related technical field. You have at least two (2) years of experience in mining, industrial, or heavy equipment maintenance environments.

You possess a solid understanding of basic mechanical, hydraulic, and industrial equipment systems, and you are comfortable following technical procedures, maintenance instructions, and safety requirements. You are eager to expand your knowledge and develop your expertise on mining equipment through hands-on experience and continuous learning.

You are a safety-conscious professional who demonstrates a strong commitment to quality, reliability, and operational excellence. As a team player, you communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors, maintain a positive attitude, and contribute to a collaborative work environment. Well-organised and dependable, you take pride in delivering quality work while continuously seeking opportunities to improve your skills and performance.
