Dow has an opportunity as Rebates Analyst within the Finance Latin America Invoice to Cash Team located in São Paulo (BRA)
About you and this role
The successful candidate will be responsible for a portfolio of customers across different Latin America countries and will manage the end-to-end rebate process since the contract setup in the system until the customer payout. His core activities include maintaining and monitoring rebate amounts, ensuring rebate payouts are properly documented and approved, ensuring accuracy and integrity of all accounting transactions and timely reconciliation of Rebate accrual accounts. Additionally, the candidate will have the opportunity to support with continuous improvement initiatives and projects within the Invoice to Cash Team. The Rebates Analyst maintains a strong interaction with different finance and business teams. Rebate incentives are part of Dow’s sales strategy to achieve increased and more profitable sales, while strengthening customer loyalty. Customers receive a percentage of sales payback when contract terms are met.
Responsibilities
Serves as Rebates Team focal point for system implementation projects.
Leads or participates in improvement projects to support work process efficiencies and automation.
Supports troubleshooting work process/system matters.
Setup Rebate & Commissions agreements in Vistex (SAP).
Maintain and monitor rebate agreements with their amounts.
Ensure accurate payouts with approvals, in accordance with contracts and with proper DoA.
Ensure accuracy and integrity of all resulting accounting transactions.
Provide guidance in new agreement set-ups from internal control and accounting policy perspective.
Strong collaboration with internal Business Partners such as Business Finance and Account Managers.
Timely and accurate reconciliation of the Rebate accrual accounts to accurately reflect our Financial Statements.
Support Audit requirements: e.g.: Tax-Audits, Internal Corporate and External Audits.
Keep documentation/procedures updated for the area of responsibility.
Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Administration, Finance, or similar discipline (for non-Accountants, basic Accounting knowledge is needed).
Intermediate English.
Intermediate Spanish.
3 years of relevant work experience (finance, accounting, or customer service related are preferred).
Proficiency in SAP ECC & reporting tools.
Proficiency in Microsoft applications, such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
