Job Description

Here’s some of the other things you can look forward to:

  • Calculate and maintain customer rebate accruals basis contractual terms (volume, growth, promotional, special rebates)

  • Ensure accurate monthly/quarterly rebate provisions in line with sales performance

  • Reconcile rebate balances between customer agreements, sales data, and finance records

  • Process rebate claims and coordinate with Sales, Commercial, and Controlling teams for validation and approval

  • Monitor rebate utilization vs. accruals and identify over/under provisions

  • Prepare journal entries for rebate accruals, reversals, and settlements

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies (including revenue recognition alignment where applicable)

  • Support audits by providing documentation and justification for rebate calculations

  • Maintain and update rebate master data and agreements

  • Drive process improvements in rebate process across various segments

  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities related to rebates

  • Contribute to RtR month-end activities like accruals, prepaid journal postings during periods of lower rebate workload

  • Analyze rebate trends and provide insights to support commercial decision-making

What do you need to be successful in this role?

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience.

  • Good understanding of IFRS15, rebate accounting, accruals, settlements, reconciliations, and related financial impacts.

  • Knowledge of internal controls, accounting policies, and compliance requirements.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; good command of written and spoken English.

  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) is an advantage.
