Report To: Assistant Director, Copy Paper

The Ream Accumulator plays a critical role in maintaining an efficient and continuous production flow. This position is responsible for properly boxing finished paper reams in accordance with established specifications, ensuring quality, accuracy, and consistency. The Ream Accumulator supports the overall production process by monitoring equipment, organizing materials, and maintaining a steady pace to keep up with line output. This job requires attention to detail, a commitment to repetitive and persistent work, and the ability to follow standardized procedures to ensure both safety and productivity.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Boxing and Packaging

  • Ensure an adequate supply of labeled boxes is available at all times.
  • Confirm reams are correctly stacked and meet quality requirements.
  • Place opened boxes over stacked reams according to specifications.
  • Push boxed stacks onto the folding conveyor for further processing.

Equipment Operation and Monitoring

  • Monitor the ream stacker to ensure it is operating correctly and efficiently.
  • Operate the paper ream stacker and folding conveyor machine safely and effectively.
  • Report any equipment issues to the supervisor to prevent production delays.

Workflow and Productivity

  • Meet or exceed established departmental productivity and quality standards.
  • Maintain a continuous workflow to support uninterrupted production line operations.
  • Follow all procedural processes and workplace instructions consistently.

Work Area Maintenance

  • Keep the workstation clean, organized, and free of clutter.
  • Handle materials and tools such as strapping tools and tape dispensers safely and adequately.
  • Perform repetitive and persistent tasks with accuracy and consistency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support production needs.



Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
  • Experience in a production or assembly environment is helpful but not required.
  • Prior training or familiarity with ream stackers, conveyors, or similar equipment is a plus.
  • Ability to operate a paper ream stacker and folding conveyor machine.
  • Ability to properly use a strapping tool and tape dispenser.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow procedural steps accurately.
  • Ability to maintain focus and productivity during repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to perform physical activities, including standing for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.; items over 50 lbs. must be lifted with assistance.
  • Ability to maintain work pace in a production environment.
