About the role


Our Health, Environment and Product Stewardship team is looking for a new Real Estate Project Leader. You will work closely with the Real Estate Manager to support and deliver industrial real estate projects.

The Real Estate Project Leader is responsible for leading the valuation, optimization, leasing, sale, and transformation of corporate real estate assets, while coordinating all legal, technical, commercial, and administrative aspects of related projects.

You will be accountable for:

  • Asset Valuation: assess and determine the value of real estate assets and properties by realtors/brokers,
  • Tender Management: obtention of environmental remediation certificate and/or end of mining concession certificate ; collaborate with remediation team, write the specifications and organize a consultation / tender to be addressed to prospective buyers in case of sale,
  • Data Room Management: create and populate the data-room intended for due diligence and organize the signature of NDA's with external stakeholders,
  • Technical & Regulatory Assessments: carry out regulatory technical diagnostics in case of sale,
  • Legal Oversight: choose a notary for the drafting of the contracts,
  • Legal Coordination: interact with internal legal team and external law firm when needed for the drafting of environmental clause,
  • Contract Negotiation and Execution: negotiate the terms and conditions of the contracts with the buyer/lessee/vendor ; organize the signature of the LoI, sale/lease agreements and deeds, easements, conventions,
  • Project and Stakeholders Management: conclude global framework contracts for property expertise and marketing (with the support of Procurement) and for legal external services (with the support of Legal) collaborate with Global Business Units and local teams, build the project team, reports to Real Estate Manager and Steerco to validate decisions and milestones; prepare ELT notes for approval when required.


We offer a permanent contract based on hybrid working mode. Position requires regular travel across Europe, approximately once every two months.

About you

Proven experience in industrial real estate transactions.


Competencies:

  • Strong legal expertise, particularly in contract law, real estate law, and environmental law.
  • Solid understanding of soil remediation and land rehabilitation projects, including the sale of contaminated or partially remediated sites.
  • Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate industrial risks associated with land and real estate assets.
  • Fluent English required; additional language skills are an asset. Proficiency in French is preferred.

About the pay


Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. The base pay expected for this role is 75 000€ - 94 000€ per year in Belgium. Your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
