The Real Estate Paralegal III provides advanced support to attorneys and project teams by managing complex real estate matters in support of energy development projects. This role is responsible for overseeing key real property activities, including land acquisition, leasing, title review, limited survey review, and due diligence, with a high degree of autonomy. The Real Estate Paralegal III coordinates multi‑party workflows, assists in the resolution of real property issues, and supports projects across Invenergy’s diverse portfolio. The position requires substantial real estate paralegal experience, strong title and survey knowledge, and the ability to provide guidance and support to others involved in the real estate process.

Responsibilities

  • Order, analyze, and interpret title commitments; identify encumbrances, assess risks, and assist with curative actions as needed.

  • Coordinate SNDAs and other required documents with lenders, title companies, internal attorneys, and outside counsel.

  • Draft, review, and manage Assignment and Assumption Agreements and other real estate documents under attorney supervision, as appropriate.

  • Coordinate execution, notarization, and recording of real estate documents in compliance with applicable jurisdictional requirements.

  • Support real estate transaction workflows by maintaining trackers, monitoring project milestones, and assisting with deadline management.

  • Manage Firmex data rooms and ensure accurate, consistent, and well‑organized document storage.

  • Assist with the closing process, including preparing signature packets, coordinating with transaction participants, and addressing issues to support timely closings.

  • Contribute to team efficiency by sharing process knowledge, best practices, and procedural support with other paralegals as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 5 - 10+ years of paralegal experience in real estate, commercial real estate, land development, energy project development, or related legal setting.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite, PDF editing tools, and data room platforms (i.e. Firmex or related)

  • Extensive experience reviewing title commitments, ALTA surveys, and managing complex real estate transactions.

  • Advanced understanding of real property concepts, title/survey terminology, and related documentation.

  • Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Some college coursework, a bachelor’s degree, or a paralegal certificate is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Exceptional organizational, project-management, and document drafting skills.

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal attorney supervision while exercising sound judgment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong ability to collaborate with attorneys, internal teams, outside counsel, and external partners.

  • Ability to lead workflows and support development of junior team members.

Base Pay

$41.00 - $47.50 USD Hourly
Bonus: 15%

The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Invenergy considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education and skills.
