The Real Estate M&A Coordinator serves as a 'central integrator' and 'relationship partner' across Real Estate M&A and ongoing real estate operations. Horizontally, the role operates as a coordination hub across all Real Estate workstreams, including Facilities Management & Engineering, Lease Administration, Design & Project Management, Transactions, and Legal, to ensure activities are aligned, dependencies are managed, and handoffs occur without disruption. In parallel, the role serves as the primary liaison for acquired entities, ensuring continuity, maintaining documentation, and reporting, and supporting post-integration needs and historical inquiries.

This position follows a hybrid schedule with four in-office days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deal Due Diligence & Integration Planning
    • Partner with M&A lead on deal due diligence activities including document reviews, compliance risks, consolidation opportunities, etc.
    • Engage with internal and external partners to resolve due diligence gaps, resolve open questions and missing information
    • Serve as a Real Estate relationship owner for UHG business stakeholders, acting as the central point of contact from request intake through execution and closeout
    • Support the end to end business experience for Real Estate services, ensuring clarity on scope, sequencing, timing, and lane ownership
    • Set expectations with business partners regarding process, timelines, dependencies, and required decisions
  • Horizontal Integration & Coordination
    • Ensure business priorities are accurately represented, coordinated, and advanced across Real Estate workstreams
    • Act as a coordination point across all Real Estate lanes to ensure work is sequenced, aligned, and executed without gaps or duplication
    • Facilitate handoffs between FM & Engineering, Lease Administration, Design & Project Management, Transactions, and Legal
    • Track dependencies, timelines, and deliverables across multiple workstreams and escalate risks or blockers proactively
    • Ensure consistent communication and information flow across internal teams, service providers, and stakeholders
  • Business as Usual (BAU) Support
    • Support ongoing portfolio operations, including site onboarding/offboarding, lease lifecycle events, capital projects, and facility operations
    • Coordinate BAU activities to ensure operational continuity during periods of change (e.g., acquisitions, integrations, relocations, consolidations)
    • Maintain organized documentation, trackers, and reporting for BAU real estate activities
    • Serve as the post handoff Real Estate M&A point of contact for questions, potential historical document searches
  • Integration & Change Support
    • Support real estate integration efforts by coordinating data collection, due diligence inputs, and post close transition activities
    • Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements and/or decisions for FM & Engineering, Lease Administration, Design & Project Management, Transactions, and Legal
    • Partner with Real Estate leaders to ensure acquired or transitioning sites are smoothly onboarded into standard operating models
    • Track integration milestones and ensure alignment with operational readiness timelines
    • Continue relationship with acquired entities, deepen connections and collaborations to ensure better outcomes & experience
    • Proactively engage stakeholders to understand business priorities, operational needs, and site-specific requirements, ensuring alignment with real estate strategies
  • Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination
    • Serve as a day to day point of contact for internal stakeholders seeking updates, clarity, or coordination across Real Estate functions
    • Partner with procurement leads to coordinate with external vendors and service providers to ensure scope alignment and timely execution
    • Prepare summaries, dashboards, and updates for leadership as needed
    • Gather feedback from stakeholders to continuously improve service delivery, communication, and overall real estate experience

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in real estate, facilities, project coordination, corporate services, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of commercial real estate concepts, lease administration, facilities operations, or capital project workflows
  • Proficiency with tracking tools, spreadsheets, and documentation systems
  • Proven solid organizational and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple parallel workstreams
  • Proven excellent communication & relationship skills and comfort working across matrixed teams
  • Demonstrated ability to identify gaps, connect processes, and improve execution flow

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project management certification or coursework (e.g., PMP, Lean, Six Sigma)
  • Experience supporting real estate integrations, acquisitions, or portfolio transitions
  • Familiarity with healthcare, corporate, or regulated environments
  • Proven exposure to FM, engineering, lease administration, or project management disciplines

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $72,800 - $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
