Brief Description
This position reports to the Head of Sustainability for Global Real Assets, who oversees Sustainability strategy and execution across Private Real Estate, Infrastructure and Real Estate Credit strategies in the U.S., Europe and Asia. This Senior Associate / Vice President role will support the development and implementation of Sustainability initiatives across the global Real Assets platform (9 funds), with a primary focus on real estate (approximately 90%).
The role sits at the center of a broad network of stakeholders, working across ~10 internal teams and numerous external partners including consultants, engineers, data providers, and ~50+ third-party property managers globally to drive Sustainability performance, regulatory compliance (including SFDR), and asset-level value creation. This role works closely with the Head of Sustainability daily and includes oversight and development of two Associate team members. It requires the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously across a global portfolio, coordinating internal and external stakeholders to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, and execution-focused. They will be comfortable operating with limited direction, synthesizing complex technical information into clear, executive-level communication, and driving initiatives forward across diverse teams. Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $130,000 and $160,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
