Boston Speech Therapy is looking for a Reading Specialist to join our team for a full-time, in-person position. In this role, you will provide individualized support to students facing challenges with reading and literacy. Your expertise will help foster strong reading skills and promote a love for learning. The position is full-time and pays $100 per hour. The total caseload is currently 27 students. Working hours are 7:15 AM–2:15 PM, and the position is available to start ASAP.

Responsibilities

• Administer assessments to evaluate students' reading levels and identify specific needs
• Develop and implement tailored instructional plans that address individual student challenges
• Provide one-on-one or small group reading instruction focusing on fluency, comprehension, and phonics
• Employ a range of evidence-based teaching strategies and materials to enhance learning
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and specialists to monitor progress and modify instruction as necessary
• Keep detailed records of student progress and assessment results

Requirements

• Must have an MA Reading Specialist/Teacher License
• OG and Wilson Certified preferred
• Previous experience as a Reading Specialist or in a related educational role
• Strong grasp of evidence-based reading instruction methods
• Ability to assess individual student needs and develop effective intervention strategies
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility in adapting instruction to meet diverse learning needs
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
