Job Description

We are working closely with local authority in Liverpool to assist with the appointment of a Reablement Assistant, on a 13-months contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay £14.43- £18.84 per hour

Liverpool City Council is seeking a compassionate and motivated Reablement Assistant to support adults in regaining and maintaining their independence following illness, injury, or changes in their health. Based at Townsend Hub, a 35-bed reablement unit, you will work alongside health and social care professionals to deliver person-centred support that enables individuals to develop essential daily living skills and remain as independent as possible.

Responsibilities

  • Support service users with personal care and activities of daily living in accordance with individual care and support plans.
  • Assist with household tasks including meal preparation, laundry, cleaning, shopping, and maintaining a safe living environment.
  • Monitor service users' wellbeing and promptly report any changes or concerns to the appropriate manager.
  • Hold and manage service users' house keys where required, ensuring appropriate security procedures are followed.
  • Contribute positively to multidisciplinary teamwork while maintaining high standards of customer service and safeguarding.

Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or willingness to work towards achieving the qualification.

Essentials:

  • Previous experience working within an adult social care environment.
  • Experience supporting adults to develop or maintain independence.
  • Experience following structured care or reablement programmes.

Please note:

  • You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
  • You should have right to work in U.K
  • This role requires an Enhanced DBS
