About the role

Are you passionate about meat technology and developing solutions that make a real impact for customers?

We're looking for an RD&A Technologist to join our Meat team, leading customer-focused innovation projects from concept through to commercialisation. This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with customers, develop new products, and collaborate with cross-functional teams across Europe.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead customer and internal RD&A projects, delivering innovative meat solutions.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and collaborate closely with their R&D teams.
  • Work cross-functionally with Commercial, Business Development, Portfolio and Technical teams to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Plan and execute laboratory, pilot plant and factory trials, including reporting and recommendations.
  • Support customer factory trials across Europe when required.
  • Assess and validate new ingredients and raw materials to support innovation and cost optimisation.
  • Manage laboratory raw materials, stock control and traceability documentation.
  • Maintain accurate project records and provide regular updates on priorities and progress.

Qualifications and skills

  • Degree in Food Science or a related discipline.
  • Experience in product development within meat technologies.
  • Strong understanding of meat ingredients, processing and manufacturing.
  • Hands-on experience in laboratory, pilot plant and factory environments.
  • Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confidence presenting technical information and product concepts to customers.
  • A collaborative, proactive approach and willingness to travel across Europe.
