Job Description

  • Design mechanical/electro-mechanical components using 3D CAD software (CATIA) for automotive interior body electronics products (e.g., Body Control Modules, Zone Controllers, Door Control Modules, Telematics Modules, High Performance Computing Units, Seat Control Units…).
  • · Develop mechanical drawings (customer, manufacturing, and supplier) according to worldwide standards and vehicle requirements as well as product function analysis.
  • · Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to all designs and drawings.
  • · Develop plastic injection and metal parts to automotive specifications with local and international teams.
  • · Perform tolerance studies for all assemblies to ensure the proper fit and function of components.
  • · Execute structural calculations for designs and verify the results by doing engineering testing.
  • · Cooperate with global manufacturing locations to ensure proper production set up.
  • · Work with both local and global suppliers for all purchased parts from the concept phase to part release.
  • · Conceptualize new designs for new project acquisitions.
  • · Manage and maintain technical product documentation throughout the product life cycle of the project.
  • · Execute Engineering Change management and documentation.
  • · This includes variant control and drawing content updating, based on internal worldwide procedures and customer standards.
  • · Implementation of design change with engineer (ECN).
  • Requirements
  • · Bachelor's degree, major in mechanical engineering or similar.
  • · 4 to 6 years of work experience in mechanical design.
  • · Good knowledge of manufacturing processes of "injection molding" and "metal stamping."
  • · Knowledge of quality tools, i.e., Six Sigma, A3, DFMEA, DRBFM, FTA, will be welcome
  • · Ability to cope with high workload situations and under time pressure.
  • · Ability to present/explain technical contents in a structured and systematic way.
  • · Attention to details.
  • · Ability to attend technical meetings with the worldwide supply base as well as to communicate with international teams.
  • · Team player with good oral and written communication skills.

Qualifications

BE/ME in Mechanical Engineering

Additional Information

1. Knowledge and skill in electronic schematic design, assembly, and troubleshooting

2. Software programming knowledge (C , LabWindow/CVI, C++ or C# )

3. Basic knowledge of device driver development on uC

4. Knowledge of automobile networks (CAN, LIN, KLINE), communication and Diagnostics

5. Knowledge of test system and testing process

6. Know-how about automotive products: Eg: BCM, RKE, Immobilizer, PEPS

7. Ability to design test equipment and test sequence.
