Complete color matches and perform tests on products and samples and assist with panel requests as required. Responsibilities may include analyzing basic formulas, performing calculations, and preparing and testing a range of technologies and methods. The R&D Lab Technician II is distinguished from the R&D Lab Technician III by performing less complex tests and formulation, operating under general supervision, and providing smaller scale support with fewer technologies and methods.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future (e.g., OPT, CPT, H1B, EB-1,etc.)
• High school diploma or equivalent of.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have 6 months of lab experience.
• Knowledge of basic math skills
• Computer knowledge for basic inputting, communication, and data analysis using Microsoft Software applications
• Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to determine the difference between colors so you can correctly tint paint to the colors desired by customers.
• Lab equipment knowledge
• Experience prioritizing daily project tasks
• Experience working with a basic understanding of the commercialization process
• PC skills; Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); and other applicable applications
• Experience communicating with co-workers to provide and receive direction
• Experience adapting and changing quickly in response to new situations/demands
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 1 or more years of experience in a laboratory
• Application Knowledge in coatings
