Job Title
R&D Technician IIThe R&D Technician II supports the development and pilot production of advanced ceramic materials used in semiconductor and defense applications. This role focuses on thermal processing operations, including furnace operation, binder burnout, and hot press processing used to manufacture ceramic components.
The technician works closely with engineers to determine production runs, prepare tooling, and execute processing steps to produce high-quality ceramic parts. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to accurately document process data while operating specialized equipment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Perform thermal processing of ceramic materials, including binder burnout and furnace operations.
Work with engineers to identify production runs and prepare parts for processing
Load and monitor furnaces and hot press equipment during production cycles.
Build and configure tool sets used in thermal processing equipment
Assist engineers with experimental runs and materials development activities.
Monitor process conditions and ensure equipment operates within defined parameters
Record production and process data accurately, including operational details and test results.
Troubleshoot equipment and process issues when necessary.
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers and other technicians to support development projects.
Maintain clean and safe work environments while following safety procedures.
