Job Description

Remedy Robotics is a medical technology company developing robotic systems for endovascular intervention. Its proprietary technology combines robotics, machine learning, and advanced computer vision to help physicians perform highly precise endovascular procedures and expand access to life-saving stroke and cardiovascular care. Initially focused on neurovascular intervention, Remedy is addressing the limited availability of specialized treatment for time-critical cardiovascular emergencies, with the long-term goal of enabling expert intervention regardless of patient location. Headquartered in San Francisco, Remedy is backed by DCVC, Blackbird, and Tony Fadell's Build Collective, among others.

We’re looking for a motivated and experienced technician to build electromechanical hardware for novel, life saving surgical robots.

What You’ll Do

  • Build, modify, troubleshoot, and validate first-of-their-kind mechanical and electrical prototypes to support engineering development and testing.
  • Work directly with engineers to interpret drawings, CAD models, and napkin sketches and turn them into functional prototypes.
  • Identify build issues and recommend improvements to designs, tooling, assembly methods, and overall prototype manufacturability.
  • Set up, organize, and maintain prototype work areas, tooling, fixtures, and shop equipment to support a safe and efficient build environment.
  • Work with engineers to create assembly documentation to share with contract manufacturers.

You Have

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in prototype, R&D, engineering, or advanced manufacturing environments supporting fast-paced product development.
  • Experience building complex electromechanical assemblies directly from CAD models and engineering drawings.
  • Comfortable and proficient using a wide variety of shop equipment, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Experience with wiring of electrical components in a prototype or manufacturing setting.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to give engineers helpful assembly feedback.
  • You’re able to lift up to 40 lbs and work in a hands-on lab/warehouse environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience operating manual mills, lathes, or other machine tools. Experience running 3D printers a bonus.
  • Experience with PCB soldering and board rework.
  • Basic CAD knowledge.

Remedy Benefits

  • Competitive salary, including equity
  • 401k + company match
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 20 days PTO per year
  • Commuter benefits within the Bay Area
  • Well stocked snacks and Friday team lunches

About Remedy Robotics

Remedy Robotics exists to bring flawless, immediate, endovascular intervention (EI)—treatment for stroke, heart attack, bleeding, aneurysmal disease, pulmonary embolism and more— to every patient worldwide. Remedy is the only company in the world to have performed:

- Completely robotic neurointerventional procedures in humans from start to finish.

- Completely remote robotic neurointerventional procedures in humans from from start to finish.

- Autonomous endovascular navigation.

A few key principles underlie our work. We strongly believe that:

- EI is optimizable. Tool movements should be deliberate and efficient. Procedures should be fast and effective. Complications should be avoided without exception.

- All patients at elite US institutions deserve access to flawless EI without delay. But so do all patients at smaller US community hospitals. And so do all patients in Kinshasa and Port Moresby and Alice Springs and anywhere in the world.

- The world's finest technology and technologists should focus on advancing our health and wellbeing. They belong at Remedy Robotics.
