What you will do

As an R&D Technician, you will play a key role in both executing laboratory workand ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the laboratory environmentsupporting self-care product development (e.g. Nicorette and other Self-Care products).

This is a hands-on role with dual responsibility, combining practical lab work with ownership of lab operations, equipment, and compliance.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing, executing, and documenting laboratory experiments and product prototypes

  • Supporting development activities across dosage forms (e.g. tablets, liquids, and other self-care products)

  • Manufacturing small-scale batches, including materials for clinical studies and GMP-relevant work where applicable

  • Maintaining accurate lab records and ensuring data integrity

In addition to lab execution, you will also support the daily functioning of the laboratory, including:

  • Ordering and managing chemicals and laboratory consumables

  • Maintaining laboratory organization, cleanliness, and readiness

  • Supporting risk assessments and safe ways of working

  • Acting as a point of contact for environmental, health, and safety (EHS) practices in the lab (e.g. waste handling, safety procedures)

  • Taking ownership of laboratory equipment, including:

  • Operating equipment in a safe and compliant manner

  • Monitoring equipment condition and performance

  • Coordinating maintenance and calibration activities

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

  • Secondary education (high school or equivalent)

  • Experience working in a laboratory, quality control, manufacturing environmentor similar hands-on roles

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple routine tasks in a structured, compliant, and detail-oriented manner.

  • Strong hands-on approachand ability to execute practical laboratory work

  • Brings a proactive, can-do mindset with a willingness to learn, take ownership, and consistently support team needs.

  • Fluency in English

Desired Qualifications

  • Technicaleducation (e.g. laboratory, pharmaceutical, food, or similar field)

  • Experience working in a regulated environment(e.g. GMP)

  • Familiarity with common laboratory techniques and equipment

  • Exposure to equipment maintenance and coordination with external service providers
