The NETZSCH Innovation Talent Program (ITP) focusses on developing this mission-critical competencies.

As this position is part of the ITP, you will complete an 18-month international rotation program across different business units and locations. During this time, you will work on innovation and business projects while building the skills needed for your future role. After successfully completing the program, you will transition into a permanent position within NETZSCH.

• Analyze product cost structures (BOM) to identify cost drivers and value improvement opportunities
• Develop cost models and benchmarking analyses to support data-driven decisions
• Evaluate technical feasibility and financial impact of cost optimization initiatives (e.g., ROI, payback)
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and manufacturing to implement value engineering and design-to-cost measures
• Provide cost analysis to support product development, design changes, and sourcing decisions
• Lead or support value analysis workshops and prepare business cases for improvement initiatives
• Maintain cost databases and benchmarking data to ensure transparency and comparability
• Track implementation progress and validate realized savings

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Production, or related field)
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including cost breakdown analysis, cost modeling, and financial evaluation (ROI, payback, margin impact)
• Solid understanding of engineering principles, materials, manufacturing processes, and product structures (BOM analysis)
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to present technical and financial insights clearly
• Fluent in English
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and curious mindset with a strong focus on continuous improvement and cost optimization

Additional Information

We are looking for a R&D Specialist to improve the cost-effectiveness and competitiveness of engineered products. You will analyze product functions, materials, designs, and manufacturing processes to identify cost-reduction and value improvement opportunities. Working closely with engineering, procurement, and manufacturing teams, you will apply cost analysis, benchmarking, and financial evaluation to ensure high performance, quality, and profitability.
