The opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated R&D Hardware Developer to lead and oversee the development of class leading hardware solutions for protective relays. This role involves development within the full project lifecycle, from concept to delivery, ensuring products are developed and maintained to the highest quality standards, according to technical specifications and with competitive and innovative HW solutions.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Technical lead in new hardware development projects out of internal requirements and specifications
  • Pro actively maintain and keep current products up to the latest standards
  • Closely cooperate with our suppliers and development parters
  • Actively work on defining the specifications for upcoming HW features.
  • Lead problem solving and root cause analysis activities
  • Support, as an expert, cross functional topics and represent the HW development team
  • Support HW Project leads in defining resource and time plans
  • Drive improvement activities to improve processes and best practices
  • Lead and mentor junior colleagues

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electrical Design or another related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in applicable hardware development, including one or more of the following areas of expertise: analog and digital (hi-speed) design, PCB-A design and manufacturing, design for EMC/EMF, power supply design, design of measurement circuitry, design of embedded HW incl. FPGA.
  • Experienced in Agile and Waterfall methods and tools such as Jira, MS Project, and DevOps.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
  • Hands on experience from lab measurements and HW verification.
  • Detail‑driven problem solver
  • Previous experience from power transmission or distribution business is a plus
