Your Role: Own the Challenge

In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to technology, product, and solution development, as well as related Intellectual Property (IP). You will serve as the first point of contact within Research & Development for specific product-related issues and maintenance activities. You will also leverage your expertise to identify, propose, and implement innovative solutions that drive business success.

The work model for the role is: Remote


This role is contributing to the the ELSB Transformers Business Line based in Nogales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain recognized expertise in a specialized area by incorporating the latest technologies, tools, and methodologies into your work.
  • Develop innovative approaches to solving complex engineering challenges by generating ideas, creating hypotheses, and defining validation methods.
  • Document technical findings, designs, calculations, and project results to ensure knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to Intellectual Property (IP) generation within your area of expertise and support the development of project IP strategies.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in electrical design, preferably in transformer design and development.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable industry standards, including UL, CSA, NEMA, IEEE, and IEC.
  • Experience using simulation software for transformer design and analysis.
  • Advanced English and Spanish communication skills.
  • Availability to travel as required.
  • Customer-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in manufacturing processes, transformer assembly, and test report interpretation is desirable.
  • Valid U.S. visa and passport are preferred.
