Who are we looking for?

Execution of R&D projects as a team member. Responsibilities will include analysis, documentation, and presentation of results from scientific investigation of relevant topics as dictated by divisional objectives and project selections made by Senior R&D Leaders (in this particular position, especially the IP Management Director) and Global Product Line Directors.

What will you be doing?

Data Cleansing & Harmonisation

Support the activities to consolidate global databases that will support planned ERP installation. This will include the review, revision, enrichment, and consolidation of data along with its transfer into defined databases.

Raw Material Management:

Support supply chain with consolidation and qualification activities for raw material data to ensure constant high product quality and supply security.

Formulation Management

Maintain formulation data in PLM and ERP systems and support consolidation and transfer activities by protecting critical confidential IP.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Review, analyse, and prepare product data to be entered into ERP systems and global databases. This will often involve gathering data from multiple sources to compare, reconcile, enrich, and where necessary, reformat data to fit defined information needs.
2. Coordinate raw material qualification and harmonization activities.
3. Maintain data integrity and standard formats for harmonized confidential data.
4. Support other MEIS departments with data requests regarding the raw material and product formulation portfolio. Gather, analyse and prepare data for reports.
5. Work on projects to improve the efficiency and productivity of the R&D department and its output.

STRATEGIC FOCUS:

• Create, review, and maintain detailed chemical data in predefined formats to ensure global applicability and smooth functioning of ERP systems.
• Support supply chain efforts to improve raw materials supply security through timely qualification of new suppliers for needed chemicals

Who are You?

• Technical degree in Chemistry, Material Science, or Physics strongly preferred. Five+ years of relevant hands-on experience in the electroplating industry is preferred.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Good PC skills, esp. Microsoft Office products. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) is a plus, but not an absolute requirement. A willingness to learn how to function in new IT systems is required.

The ability to work across a wide variety of functions within the organization is strongly valued in this position. This position will have access to a wide array of confidential information about our raw materials, formulations, and suppliers. The candidate will be expected to sign a confidentiality agreement spelling out the obligation to rigorously protect this information by using secure systems and the highest degree of operational caution.
