This role is in the R&D PDM team based in Bangplee. This team is responsible for carrying out product development / maintenance on projects in the intimate wellness portfolio. This role specifically is in the medical device SME team within R&D PDM, primarily supporting the Gels (personal lubricants) and toys (devices) portfolio with some support on condoms within intimate wellness as needed.
The Medical Device team are accountable for delivery of the medical device specific aspects of project delivery & product maintenance. This includes but is not limited to documentation relating to Design Control, Risk Management, post market surveillance activities and supporting regulatory submissions. This role involves working independently as the part of a small team to provide the above deliverables in projects and maintenance activities.
The role requires strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary and cross functional project team for which strong partnership will be essential. The project portfolio this role is accountable for is large and complex and a strategic mindset to seek opportunities for efficiency will be key.
Strong understanding of medical device requirements and problem-solving skills are an essential requirement of the role as is an ability to take ownership of key aspects of the project. Experience of product development, design control, risk management and working on regulated products such as medical devices are essential and theoretical and practical functional expertise in the technology and standards for medical devices (e.g. ISO13485, CFR820, ISO14971, BS EN 62366, EU MDR etc.) or related products would be highly beneficial.
The role will be to provide technical and documentation support to the current maintenance and development projects on the IW portfolio working independently to represent the R&D PDM department as part of a cross functional team.
