Full ownership of the design process from conceptual design through detailed engineering and production documentation. Collaboration in a multidisciplinary environment with metallurgists, chemists, process engineers, and electrical engineers. Ability to perform FEA analysis and validate results. Hands-on mechanical work for prototyping and proof-of-concept development. Responsible for transfer to production while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities

1. Mechanical Design & Engineering Ownership

· End-to-End Design: Full ownership of the mechanical design lifecycle, from initial conceptualization to detailed 3D modeling and engineering.

· Structural Integrity: Leading structural design and material considerations to ensure robust mechanical solutions.

· Documentation: Generating and managing comprehensive production documentation, including BOMs, assembly instructions, and technical drawings.

· Component Selection: Identifying and sourcing optimal mechanical components and hardware.

2. Prototyping & Hands-on Development

· POC Development: Building and testing Proof-of-Concept (POC) models to evaluate feasibility.

· Assembly & Integration: Executing hands-on mechanical assembly and integrating mechanical systems into complex working setups.

· Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving mechanical challenges during the prototyping phase.

3. Multidisciplinary Collaboration

· Cross-Functional Synergy: Partnering with metallurgists, chemists, and process engineers to align mechanical designs with chemical/material requirements.

· Systems Integration: Collaborating with electrical engineers to ensure seamless electro-mechanical interfaces.

4. Production & Lifecycle Management

· Transfer to Production (NPI): Managing the transition of prototypes into scalable production-ready products.

· Continuous Improvement: Addressing mechanical challenges identified during the manufacturing or deployment stages.
