This position performs the necessary maintenance duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain Research & Development Laboratory equipment according to safety and production maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the lab’s business goals and objectives.

Job duties include contact with other employees and access confidential and proprietary information and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Company’s staff, employees, and business relationships.

• Conduct preventive maintenance tasks in a timely manner to insure operation of all equipment, in an efficient and safe manner.
• Check and refill lubricant reservoirs, apply grease to lubricant points, inspects machinery while performing scheduled preventative maintenance
• Operate tools, equipment, and machines related to maintenance
• Able to make some repairs and adjustments to machinery and assist in dismantling all or parts of machinery to repair or replace defective components
• Assist in electrical projects and performs minor electrical repairs
• Understand basic electrical and pneumatic diagrams, familiar with 12 VDC to 480 VAC electrical wiring or circuits and capable of diagnosing 115 VAC control circuitry
• Assist in plumbing/pipe fitting tasks and able to perform some installation tasks unassisted
• Perform certain portions of repairs to power industrial equipment, assists in rebuilding of related equipment
• Assist in the installation of new lab industrial equipment
• Assist other departments as needed
• Manage contractors for site projects and repairs; Overseeing assigned work to assure all project and maintenance tasks are completed in a professional manner through project completion.
• Ability to communicate effectively with fellow associates, lab personnel, contractors & vendors on the maintenance and repair needs of the equipment assignments. Follows up with good communications to peers and Facility Manager on any challenges or problems that arise during the workday.
• Maintain lab equipment in good operating condition while optimizing equipment uptime to insure the safe and timely design of new powder coatings.
• Improve reliability and operating efficiency of lab equipment.
• Support site housekeeping and safety programs, maintaining a work place that is clean and safe.
• Comply with all safety policies and procedures and must be observant to recognize potential safety situations and be able to implement corrective actions based on their observations. Understands the proper use of all safety equipment or gear.
• Participation towards completion of other related tasks and duties as directed or needed
• Maintain parts inventory and makes recommendations for the purchase of parts needed to perform repairs to facilities and lab equipment.
• Ability to purchase mechanical, electrical, plumbing materials & supplies for the work order assignments associated with equipment repairs.
• Ability to read and understand operating manuals, schematics & blueprints, for the effective repair and maintenance of equipment.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future (e.g., OPT, CPT, H1B, EB-1,etc.)
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Minimum of 1 year manufacturing and/or industrial maintenance.
• Basic electrical, mechanical, and plumbing skills
• Fundamental math skills
• Experience with general maintenance and repair principles and practices
• Must be capable of operating a variety of hand and power equipment
• Basic PC Skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
• Experience using CMMS-equivalent system.
• Experience troubleshooting equipment breakdowns
• Utilizing the Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage maintenance work.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 2-year degree with STEM or Business with project management focus.
• 3-5 years manufacturing maintenance experience
• Extrusion Equipment knowledge
• R&D Lab experience

Travel Requirements: 10%

Successful candidate will be required to sign an Employee Restrictive Covenant Agreement where permitted by law.


This position is also eligible for bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company’s applicable plans.
