Job Description

Responsibilities:



• Lead new product development projects, ensuring delivery against cost, performance, manufacturability, quality, and time-to-market objectives

• Drive effective project management practices and support cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and execution

• Plan and coordinate logistics, procurement, and supply chain activities to support R&D and product development

• Manage supplier interactions, including onboarding, coordination, and procurement execution

• Oversee material and product logistics, including shipments between customers and global sites

• Plan and monitor CAPEX investments within the R&D organization

• Coordinate Special Build Requests (SBRs) and development-related production activities across multiple sites

• Align production activities across wafer fabrication, assembly, test, and certification to meet project timelines

• Support new product introduction into MES systems, ensuring compliance with established production processes

• Drive risk management activities, including identification, tracking, and mitigation

• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and global teams to ensure efficient project execution

Skills & Qualifications:

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience

• 3–5+ years of experience in logistics, procurement, supply chain, production planning, or project coordination within a high-tech or R&D environment

• Experience supporting product development, pilot production, or manufacturing operations

• Familiarity with supplier management, CAPEX planning, and logistics coordination

• Experience with MES systems and risk management processes is an advantage

Working Conditions

This position operates in a dynamic, international environment with close interaction across R&D, production, and supporting functions.

The role requires frequent cross-functional collaboration and coordination with multiple stakeholders, both locally and globally, to support development projects and product introductions.

Physical Requirements

Ability to work effectively in both office and production-related environments.

May require occasional movement between office, lab, and manufacturing areas.

Ability to perform standard computer-based tasks and administrative coordination work.

Safety Requirements

All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and II-VI Corporate EHS standards.
