Join Nokia's Broadband Devices Business Unit (BBD) as an R&D Leader, spearheading a transformative journey. With a €1B+ business and a global team, we design cutting-edge Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) for fiber and 5G connectivity. Your mission: to maximize efficiency, define new ways of working, and cultivate an innovative, high-performing R&D culture. This role is perfect for a results-driven leader with a passion for change and a vision for the future of telecommunications.
  • Lead the BBD R&D transformation, optimizing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Implement new processes, tools, and automation for all workflows.
  • Define and enhance software development methodologies for device/hardware and cloud-based software.
  • Foster a culture of quality, agility, and market responsiveness.
  • Deliver cost-effective HW design and operational efficiency.
  • Cultivate a common R&D culture focused on innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Manage site diversification strategies for optimal resource allocation.
  • Participate in governance forums, ensuring compliance and action item delivery.
  • Drive critical business topics and management discussions.
  • Serve as the primary contact for Nokia's quality and security organizations.
  • Extensive R&D experience, preferably in software or telecommunications.
  • Proven leadership in software development, with global site management an advantage.
  • Expertise in large-scale change/transformation projects in R&D.
  • Significant leadership experience with geographically distributed teams.
  • Strong negotiation, influencing, and networking skills.
  • Ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with C-level experience preferred.
  • Experience managing headcount plans, budgets, and operational KPIs.
  • Track record of monitoring and improving operational efficiency.
  • Expertise in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and continuous integration models.
