Your role

As an R&D Lab Technician, you will join the Formulations & Dispersions Development (FDD) team. You will contribute to the development and scale-up of new formulations such as dispersions, solutions, and emulsions for various business units (including inks, membranes, and functional coatings).

You play a key role in bridging research and production.

Your responsibilities

  • Prepare and evaluate dispersions, solutions, emulsions, and other formulations at pilot scale
  • Conduct process investigations and contribute to process optimization in collaboration with the Research Leader
  • Perform quality control analyses to support research and customer deliveries
  • Accurately document and report results, data, and observations
  • Support the scale-up and introduction of new formulations into production
  • Maintain laboratory and analytical equipment
  • Manage stock of raw materials and consumables
  • Ensure safety and health aspects are considered in all experiments
  • Actively participate in safety initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement

Your profile

  • A degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a technical field (or equivalent through experience)
  • Comfortable working independently in a lab environment with strong attention to safety, order, and cleanliness
  • Hands-on mentality; not afraid of physical work
  • Strong sense of responsibility, well-organized, and goal-oriented
  • Proactive, analytical, and solution-driven
  • Good communication and reporting skills; a true team player
  • Able to adapt quickly and manage multiple experiments or environments
  • Technical knowledge (pumps, valves, electricity, mechanics, etc.) is a strong plus
  • Willing to occasionally work in shifts
  • Fluent in Dutch; knowledge of English is an asset (or willingness to learn)
