This role is part of a new R&D Team in India focusing on planning and developing the next generation Digital Products for mission critical connective technologies. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solution Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of system architecture, design, and implementation. This individual will play a crucial role in defining and ensuring the structural integrity and scalability of our digital products. As a Solution Architect, you will collaborate with various teams to create innovative solutions that meet our business objectives and enhance our technological capabilities. With its entrepreneurial spirit, the role contributes greatly to the digital transformation of Oetiker’s products and the creating of new digital product opportuneties.

Essential Functions

  • Solution Design and Architecture: Develop and maintain comprehensive software

    architectures, ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams,

    promoting best practices in software development lifecycle
  • Work as part of the project team to fully understand the customer requirements. Where

    required, visit customers and jointly create and review suitable solution descriptions.
  • Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to gather

    requirements, define system specifications, and ensure successful implementation.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends and assess their

    applicability to our systems and business goals.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system architectures,

    processes, and procedures.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring the stability and

    performance of our systems.
  • Ensure that system designs comply with security standards and best practices,

    safeguarding our data and infrastructure.
  • Design systems that are scalable and capable of handling growth, anticipating future

    needs and challenges.
  • Implement and enforce quality assurance processes to ensure the reliability and

    performance of our systems

Qualifications

  • BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in system architecture, design, and implementation.
  • Proficiency in system architecture frameworks, design patterns, and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in any programming language, C, C++, C#, Java etc.

Additional Information

  • Strong knowledge of SDLC, network architecture, and cloud technologies.
  • Strong analytical skills with a creative approach to designing solutions to enhance

    product quality and performance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex

    technical concepts to various stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus.
  • Experience with microservices architecture and containerization technologies (e.g.,

    Docker, Kubernetes), AI etc.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD, Jenkins, Ansible).
  • Knowledge of data architecture and database management systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices
