Your responsibilities:
Design of compressors considering aerothermodynamics, mechanical integrity and materials
Responsible for compressor product validation and qualification
Support advanced concept studies on compressor topics
Shaping the Compressor Technology Roadmap
Internal interface for all product lines on compressor topics
Interfacing with internal and external test facilities for compressor test and validation topics
Support for turbine development
Your background:
Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Min. 5 years compressor development experience
Solid understanding of turbomachines
Strong Aerodynamics/Thermodynamics/Mechanical Integrity background knowledge
Experiences with 3D CFD tools and FEM
Sound knowledge in programming (Python, Matlab)
Familiar with compressor testing and validation
Open mindedness and strong interpersonal skills
Proven track record in compressor design (patents, publications)
Experience in turbine design would be a plus
Very high level of structuring and self- organization
Familiar with Microsoft Office Apps
Fluent in English and German
