Position: R&D Electronics Technician II
Shift: 1st Shift | Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Start Date: 06/08/2026 – Once Onboarding Clears
Duration: 12-Month Contract ( Potential for Extension/Conversion)
Location: Onsite – Arden Hills, MN

Pay Range: $33 $37/HR, Paid Weekly

The R&D Electronics Technician II supports Research & Development testing activities by assisting engineers with electrical and electronic testing, troubleshooting, equipment setup, and documentation. This role is heavily hands-on and lab-based, working alongside a team of technicians and engineers to support product development, testing validation, and compliance efforts.

The ideal candidate will already have experience working with electronic testing equipment and should be comfortable running tests independently while following established procedures and protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute electrical and electronic tests in an R&D laboratory environment.
  • Set up, configure, and maintain test stations and electronic testing equipment.
  • Perform design verification testing to validate product performance and compliance requirements.
  • Conduct testing on printed circuit boards (PCBs), circuit boards, sub-assemblies, full system-level products.
  • Troubleshoot electronic systems, components, and prototypes.
  • Collect, document, and report test results accurately.
  • Work closely with engineers to support product development and testing activities.
  • Provide feedback and observations based on testing results.
  • Support improvements to lab operations, test methods, and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree in: Electronic Technology, Electrical Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an: Electronics Technician or Electrical Technician.
  • Experience using electronic testing equipment such as: Function generators and Power analyzers.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to follow detailed testing procedures and protocols.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative R&D lab environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with: LabVIEW, data acquisition systems and test automation tools.

Additional Notes:

  • The candidate will work onsite in a lab with a team of 6 technicians.
  • Training will be provided for site-specific procedures.
  • The manager is specifically seeking technician-focused candidates.
  • Strong culture fit, communication skills, and a positive attitude are very important for this team.

Working Conditions:

  • May on occasion be exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels, such as from office equipment.
  • Use of computers and technology.
