UCT is looking for a talented R&D Coatings Engineer III to join us in Austin, TX!
Develops, validates, and implements advanced coating technologies and processes that improve performance, reliability, quality, and cost for Semiconductor and related applications. Leads coating development activities with emphasis on Atmospheric Plasma Spray (APS) and Suspension Plasma Spray (SPS) technologies, including process optimization, equipment development, material evaluation, and production transfer. Works closely with Operations, Quality, customers, and suppliers to develop innovative coating solutions and scale them into manufacturing.
Participates in projects as assigned to improve systems, operations & cross-functional collaboration. Other duties may be assigned and at the discretion of the Company. Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgy / Hydrometallurgy or Mechanical Engineering. Advanced degree is preferred.
Work Experience: This position generally requires 4 to 8 years of directly related engineering experience in a development engineering role or a combination of directly related process engineering and development activities.
This job is usually performed in a professional office environment, routinely using standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and other related equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
